Douglas County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) is committed to caring for patients, regardless of their ability to pay for services. Hospital expenses can be daunting, especially to those who do not have insurance to pay for them. That is why our trained billing department are there to help you understand your financial responsibility and the payment options available to you.
Patients are responsible for paying their hospital bills, even if they have inadequate medical insurance, or no insurance at all. Payment plans are available to all patients. In addition, DCMH billing staff can help patients find other ways to pay for their medical care.
Some patients may be eligible for financial aid. Our billing department can review a patient’s income and resources to help determine if full or partial financial aid is available.
Our financial counselors are happy to answer any questions you may have. They can be contacted at (605) 724-2159, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
