Douglas County Memorial Hospital Foundation
Mission Statement
“Douglas County Memorial Hospital Foundation exists to financially support local healthcare in order to ensure its quality and availability for future generations while seeking continued improvement of the community’s health.”
The purpose of this foundation is to raise money to strengthen and expand health care services and programs, provide up-to-date medical equipment and technology, recruit medical personnel, and create an endowment fund for local healthcare.
The Foundation has its own Board of Directors, which offers an opportunity for residents to control the use of the funds for local services. The current Board of Directors are Heath Brouwer, Kevin Coffey, Mark Van Der Werff, Beverly Nydam Varilek, and Kendall Strand. The DCMHF has raised approximately $500,000 so far.
The DCMH Foundation continues to receive contributions, grants, and endowments for the purpose of providing financial help to local healthcare in the future. Any contributions for the foundation can be sent to the following address:
